| Heidanes Lord Darth Vadar - This is the dog that started us showing dogs. He was purchased from a local breeder, and had a bit of a pedigree behind him. Even though he did not have a proper ear crop, he moved beautifully and we showed him a nuber of times before we purchased our first real "show dog". The following photos are of our first and only home bred champion, In Am Ch Heidanes Diamond Solitaire, CD "Solo". Solo was born c-section to our bitch Sabre Sue, linebred to another Diamond Dane boy, when she was three years old, her first litter, and a singleton puppy. We, of course, couldn't part with him, but the Lord had other ideas. In his short lifespan of 4 and one half years, Solo finished his championship, a Companion Dog degree, his Canine Good Citizen degree and was the heart of our kennel field trips and the love of a lifetime. He was shown only three times in Best of Breed, and won the breed twice, one of those times went on to take a Working Group 4. We are proud of our boy, and still miss him today. He truly was one of a kind.
