Dog Boarding

Our dogs are like our children, which is why parting ways with our furry friends to go on vacation can be emotional and difficult. Luckily, there are several precautions that can be taken to make sure that both you and your dog are prepared for boarding.

Socialization

It is important to make sure that your dog is comfortable and well-behaved around other people. If your pup is not, it could lead to anxiety and disobedience while you are away.

Food

Pack your dog's regular food. Boarding is stressful, and a change in diet could potentially make your dog very uncomfortable and sick. Familiar food will keep them calm and healthy.

Health History

Make sure that the boarding facility has a copy of your dog's health history. This will help the facility keep your dog safe while in their custody and avoid preventable accidents.

Vaccination

Up-to-date vaccinations are a must for dogs that are going to be boarded. Vaccinations not only protect your dog, but also protect other dogs at the facility.

Stay Calm

Don't let your pup know that you are upset when you are about to part ways. Dogs can sense emotions. The calmer you stay, the calmer your pup will be when you say goodbye.
